Painting and Editing Tiles
Use the Brush, Eraser, Eyedropper, Rectangle Fill, Flood Fill, and bounded tile history inside Filmstrip’s broader undo and redo workflow.
The Tile Workspace provides direct painting tools for the active layer. Each completed stroke or fill is recorded as one bounded tile transaction.
Tools
- Brush paints the selected Manual, Smart, or Animated Tile.
- Eraser removes painted cells.
- Eyedropper selects the tile or Smart Terrain under the pointer.
- Rectangle Fill previews and commits one inclusive region.
- Flood Fill replaces one bounded four-neighbor contiguous region.
Undo and redo
Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y route to the applicable authoring history. Tile painting retains its own established bounded stroke history while sharing scene dirty-state and save behavior. Filmstrip does not guess an unsafe order between unrelated editor histories.
Smart terrain updates
Painting or erasing Smart Terrain updates the affected neighbors deterministically. The complete neighbor result is part of the same undoable operation.
